TAMPA, FL – Police were on the scene of an accident that left a pedestrian injured in Tampa Tuesday morning. According to WFLA, the person was struck by a white car in the vicinity of Hillsborough Avenue and North 47th Street.
The severity of the victim’s injuries was not immediately known. The westbound lanes of Hillsborough Avenue were closed between Schipman Court and North 47th Street.
Traffic was being diverted onto 56th Street while police investigated the crash.
