TAMPA, FL – Police arrested a driver in connection with a fatal four-vehicle collision at Fl 60 and U.S. 301 Sunday, according to WFLA.
Michael Sean Jones, 39, was impaired while driving a pickup truck on EB Fl 60. At 3:18 a.m., Jones ran a red light at U.S. 301 and collided with another pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old man.
The impact spun Jones’ truck across the intersection, striking a sedan and an SUV stopped at the intersection. The collision also propelled the other pickup truck into a utility pole.
The driver of the other pickup truck died in the crash. It is unclear if he passed at the scene or an area hospital. First responders transported Jones, two people from the sedan, and the driver of the SUV to a hospital with minor injuries.
Police charged Jones with DUI manslaughter in connection with the incident.
