TAMPA, FL – A search is underway for the driver who struck and killed a bicyclist in Pinellas County Friday morning.
According to ABC Action News, a 59-year-old woman on a bicycle was struck in the vicinity of U.S. Alternate 19 and Wood Dove Avenue in Tarpon Springs. The victim, identified as Terry Bruillard, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver kept going southbound after the crash. The vehicle was described as a light-colored, newer model four-door Hyundai sedan. It was believed to have damage to the front headlight area on the passenger side. Investigators believe the passenger side mirror was broken off in the incident.
